The exhibition Our Father’s Inheritance Does Not Allow Us to Sleep showcases the artworks of Admire Kamudzengerere.
Kamudzengerere employs a variety of media, including painting, performance, video, and printmaking, to explore the enduring influence of inherited histories. The artworks is Kamudzengere’s second solo exhibition hosted by the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.
“The exhibition reflects on our way of life, our hopes and dreams, and the effort to understand who we are as Africans. We share a history, and memories—these are part of our inheritance,” said Kamudzengerere.
His work has been featured on global art stages, including New York, Brussels, Cape Town, Venice, and the Dakar Biennale.
